Our Story

Hello There! My name is Tori - I am the founder of Little Letters. I have been working as a school based occupational therapist for the past 5 years. During that time, I found that there was a signifiant amount of children who were struggling to keep up with the classroom demands of writing solely because they didn’t have a strong foundation of handwriting skills. After various trainings and a few years of practice, I found that I loved working on handwriting skills. I decided to offer private handwriting services to families throughout the NYC area, and was shocked by the immediate outreach of families looking for help. After building up a steady flow of students, I decided it was finally time to expand!

As with so many other small businesses, my original plans were thrown for a loop when COVID hit. Initially, I couldn’t help but feel defeated that after so much time and energy my business would never get off the ground. Thankfully, I have an unbelievable support system that helped me to see past what we couldn’t do, and begin to reimagine what we could do.

A quick re-routing of plans led me to where we are today - offering Zoom based individual & group tutoring sessions for kiddos all across the NYC area and beyond! I am so excited to finally have the opportunity to expand my handwriting services, and to be able to help kiddos near and far via online platforms.

I love my job… like… I really love it. And I feel beyond fortunate to be able to take the very best part of my job and turn it into my career. Times are crazy right now, but I am so excited to see what the future holds and all of the new possibilities that will grow with it.
